Sabercom have announced today that the RAC motoring organisation has installed Sabercom digital signage at their iconic customer service centre located next to the M5/M4 motorway junction near Bristol.
The customer service centre operates 7 days a week with over 200 staff working on a rotating shift pattern. Sabercom installed 10 screens to ensure that each of the seven business groups were kept up to date with the latest corporate and specific business group updates. This includes a daily KPI summary for each business group, a live Twitter feed, the weekly corporate news reel, weather and RAC traffic RSS feeds.
The multimedia content on each screen can be tailored for each business group with instant business updates using the scrolling ticker text via Sabercom’s easy to use management system. Different levels of user access were set up to allow overall control by the Internal Communications team and individual screen control by each business group leader.

Two screens in their reception area, for welcoming visitors and one in the canteen used to display course information to students. The content on screen can be changed via Sabercom’s easy to use web management interface and any new media added is automatically pushed out to the screens or can be scheduled for a later date or time.

Digital Signage Case Study - Corporate Screensaver
The Client
Our client, is responsible for providing a wide range of hospital based services to a population of around 360,000 people across South Staffordshire, South Derby-shire and North West Leicestershire. The number of patients cared for each year in their hospitals is impressive - over 47,000 planned and emergency operations, more than 70,000 A&E attendances and around 13,000 daycase procedures. The Challenge
Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provide hospital-based services from four main sites, Queen’s, Samuel Johnson, Sir Robert Peel and the treatment centre. With staff constantly on the move, four different sites to contend with and over 2500 PC users, communicating important campaigns such as hand hygiene, energy saving and Antibiotics awareness can prove a real challenge!
The Solution
Sabercom worked closely with Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to specify and install the Sabercom corporate screensaver solution. Currently running at Queen’s Hospital and the Treatment Centre with a view to being rolled out to all sites, Sabercom’s screen saver allows communication managers to drive communication campaigns and corporate information directly to the desktops of employees. The screensaver works in the same way as any ordinary screensaver with the exception that information is taken directly from Sabercom’s easy to use screensaver designer tool. The contents of the screensaver can easily be updated from one central location and information can be scheduled for certain times of day or days of the week. The Sabercom system has proven to be a useful communications channel for Burton Hospitals. Sabercom's on-going relationship ensures that the solution is constantly evolving to meet their requirements.
Customer Testimonial

Corporate Screensaver as Digital Signage?
A corporate screensaver is an internal communication channel that runs outside of the usual email traffic. A powerful way to raise awareness and communicate campaigns. Every PC has a screen already attached, so why not make use of this existing network of screens - more cost effective then a full blown digital signage solution.
We have installed our corporate screensaver across over 2000 screens at an NHS hospital in South Staffs.
With staff at the hospital constantly on the go, the screensaver ensures that communications never go unnoticed.
We worked closely (and continue to do so) with the NHS Hospital to specify and install their corporate screen saver solution. The screensaver allows communication managers to drive communication campaigns and corporate information directly to the desktops of employees.
The screensaver works in the same way as any ordinary screensaver with the exception that information is taken directly from Sabercom’s easy to use screensaver designer tool. The contents of the screensaver can easily be updated from one central location and information can be scheduled for certain times of day or days of the week. This is great as it means IT only need to deploy the screensaver software once and all updates can be easily made by the internal comms team.

Reception screen communication
Last week was a busy week - we caught the train to London to install a system of three screens then flew to Scotland to install a further four screens.
Both installations consisted of a reception screen to welcome visitors and internal screens to communicate corporate information with employees.
Our reception screen solution means you don’t have to be stuck with the same TV news channel. You can move the TV channel to one side and add in images, presentations and welcome messages, all from your own PC.
A combination of compelling and eye catching information makes your reception screen the first point of contact. Great for employee announcements as they walk through the door, and an excellent marketing opportunity for visitors.
